FORT WORTH, TX  — How do you get COVID-19? What is the best way to avoid getting COVID-19? What is Social Distancing? How can it be good for your mental health during an outbreak? These questions and more will be answered by our TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine experts.

School of Medicine faculty members Brian Dixon, M.D., a practicing psychiatrist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Karim Jamal, M.D., an emergency medicine physician at Texas Health Harris Medical Center answered questions on the School of Medicine Facebook page about COVID-19 and the mental health effects that the pandemic may have on Americans.

The live chat is a part of the School of Medicine’s, “Our Doctors vs. The Internet“ video series that originally launched in September 2019.

The “Our Doctors Vs. The Internet” video series finished its first season in late January. During the first season five of our faculty physicians answered and critiqued the search results of the most searched health-related questions on the Internet about ADHD, skin cancer, heart issues, diabetes and PTSD.
