Learning Communities

School of Medicine Learning Communities are designed to facilitate small group, vertical-leveled communities that foster, advocate, and support a sense of belonging, community and engagement for our medical students. Our Physician Development Coaches (PDCs) work with students in the learning communities throughout their medical school education, exploring concepts around wellness, professional identity, and careers in medicine. In addition, each learning community will engage with the Fort Worth communities around them, partnering with city leaders in their work to impact the citizens of Fort Worth. The School of Medicine learning communities will be named by our inaugural student class. These names will be kept in perpetuity, honoring those students who have led us into history.
