Simulation and Technology

The Simulation and Modeling program extends well outside of the walls of the simulation center. The program will provide interactive, engaging, and authentic experiences to best prepare our empathetic scholars and future healthcare professionals using a variety of platforms: from typical traditional part-task trainers and mannequin systems, to use of virtual patients, to some of the latest augmented reality applications and biophysics mathematical models. Simulation and modeling tools are strategically integrated within the medical school’s curricula and used by the faculty to implement interactive and engaging learning methodologies within the flipped classroom structure outlined by the school. The simulation and modeling program will help promote optimal clinical care and patient safety by delivering quality interactive and immersive educational tools for the faculty, to future healthcare providers, and ultimately the community at large
