The Anne Marion Burnett School of Medicine is proud to provide a resource to support faculty and professional staff.
Executive coaching has been found to enhance the academic excellence by providing personalized guidance and support to help faculty and staff reach their full potential. Similarly, executive coaching can improve the professional performance by modeling and teaching valuable leadership and management skills. Through executive coaching, individuals can gain clarity on their goals, develop a plan for achieving them, and receive constructive feedback to improve their performance.
The Burnett School of Medicine believes in the benefits of executive coaching and believe that when leveraged fully, executive coaching can lead to significant personal and professional growth throughout one’s professional career.

Thomas M. Deas, M.D., A.C.C.
Tom Deas, Jr., MD, graduated from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his residency, chief resident appointment, and fellowship training at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology achieving 38 years of clinical experience during his USAF career and gastroenterology practice in Fort Worth. Following his USAF retirement, Colonel Deas was subsequently selected for a series of local and national leadership positions, serving as President of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2012-13. In 2018 he joined the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University as Associate Professor and Physician Development Coach, contributing to our students’ success and achieving ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Daisy Nwachukwu, M.D., A.C.C.
Dr. Daisy Nwachukwu joined the Anne Burnett School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education in 2018. Dr. Nwachukwu attended medical school at the University of Jos in 2006 and completed residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern in 2012. Since 2013, Dr. Nwachukwu has worked at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas, where she has received awards in both 2014 and 2015 for physician excellence and was promoted to Facility Medical Director in 2022.

Collin O'Hara, M.D., A.C.C.
Dr. Collin O’Hara, a pathologist by trade, joined the faculty of the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in 2018. In 2020, Dr. O’Hara transitioned into a full-time academic role as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at TCU. Dr. O’Hara attended medical school at Wright State University and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as a fellowship in cytopathology, at George Washington University. Areas of coaching interest include maintaining a healthy work-life balance, growing families during medical school, and managing a dual-physician household.

Collin O'Hara, M.D., A.C.C.

David Nathan Shau, M.D., M.B.A.
David Shau, MD/MBA, is a native Texan, born in Fort Worth, TX, and graduated high school in Flower Mound, TX. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained a biomedical engineering degree and then ventured out-of-state to Vanderbilt University, where he obtained dual MD/MBA degrees. He went on to complete both orthopaedic surgery and healthcare management residencies at Emory University, where he was selected Chief Resident as a PGY-5 and led a non-profit organization in his spare time. He then completed a hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at University of California, San Francisco, before returning home to practice at the Texas Hip and Knee Center, where he currently serves as the clinical Fellowship Director. At the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at TCU, Dr. Shau has served as a Physician Development Coach and is currently the Faculty Advisor of the Orthopaedic Surgery and the Innovation Student Interest Groups.

Rajesh Gandhi, M.D., Ph.D., A.C.C.
Raj R. Gandhi, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, ACC, graduated from the Albany Medical College and did his General Surgery Training at The New York Medical College, Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He then did an Adult and Pediatric Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. He moved to Fort Worth in 2007 and became the Trauma Medical Director at JPS Health Network. In 2017, he joined the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU and is now a Professor in Medical Education and an Executive Coach.
